Definition of Forfeiture of bond

A failure to perform the condition upon which obligor was to be excused from the penalty in the bond. Hall v. Browning, 71 Ga.App. 835, 32 S.E.2d 424, 427. With respect to a bail bond, occurs when the accused fails to appear for trial.
