Definition of DESTINATION
The purpose to which it is intended an article, or a fund shall be applied. A testator gives a destination to a legacy when he prescribes the specific use to which it shall be put.
The port at which a ship is to end her voyage is called her "port of destination." Pardessus, no. 600.
The phrases "port of destination" and "port of discharge" are not equivalent; U. S. v. Barker, 5 Mason 404, Fed.Cas.No.14,516. See Sheridan v. Ireland, 66 Me. 65.
