Lat. Defect; default; want; imperfection; disqualification.

Challenge Propter Defectum

A challenge to a juror on account of some legal disqualification, such as infancy, etc. See Challenge.

Defectus Sanguinis

Failure of the blood, i. e., failure or want of issue.
