Definition of DELAY
To retard; obstruct; put off; postpone*, defer; procrastinate; prolong the time of or before; hinder; interpose obstacles; as, when it is said that a conveyance was made to "hinder and delay creditors." Mercantile Co. v. Arnold, 108 Ga. 449, 34 S.E. 176; Ellis v. Valentine, 65 Tex. 532; Blair v. Blair, 122 Me. 500, 120 A. 902, 905. The term does not imply dishonesty or involve moral wrong. Citizens & Southern Nat. Bank v. Kontz, 185 Ga. 131, 194 S.E. 536, 544.
