An act of debauchery of the female sexual organs by those of the male which does not amount to penetration;—the offense commonly called statutory rape consists of carnal abuse. State v. Huggins, 84 N.J.Law, 254, 87 A. 630, 633. An injury to the genital organs in an attempt at carnal knowledge, falling short of actual penetration. Snyder v. State, 92 Ohio St. 167, 110 N.E. 644, 645. • Carnal knowledge of a female child of tender age includes abuse. Dawkins v. State, 58 Ala. 376, 29 Am.Rep. 754.
