Definition of DENTIST
One whose business it is to diagnose and treat imperfections or diseases of human teeth. People v. Hewson, 181 App.Div. 212, 168 N.Y.S. 104. Defined by the California Dental Act as any person who shall for remuneration perform an operation of any kind or treat diseases of the human teeth. Jacobs v. Board of Dental Examiners of California, 189 Cal. 709, 209 P. 1006, 1007.
