Definition of Extraordinary Danger
Danger or risk of employment, not ordinarily incident to the service. The “extraordinary circumstances” justifying federal equitable intervention in pending state criminal prosecution must be extraordinary in the sense of creating an extraordinary pressing need for immediate federal equitable relief, not merely in the sense of presenting a highly unusual factual situation. Kugler v. Helfant, N.J., 421 U.S. 117, 95 S.Ct. 1524, 1531, 44 L.Ed.2d 15. See also Extraordinary hazard.
